The NMCC and the Microsoft Corporation India Private Limited launched a collaborative programme for competitiveness enhancement through creating IT awareness and IT adoption by the small and medium enterprises of the Indian Manufacturing sector. The project which ends in June, 2011 has successfully launched 10 Cluster Portals and 10 E-readiness Centres. Over 200 training programmes/seminars covering over 3000 MSMEs have been held. In order to sustain the Portals beyond June, 2011, these are being handed over to the Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME) for sustaining them post June, 2011.
